EDGE Consulting Group is committed to helping companies of all sizes to reduce or eliminate the people-related problems that negatively impact profit and productivity. The company was founded and is run by Pamela Gort, MBA. Pamela has over 24 years of experience in both the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Twenty years were spent in pharmaceutical sales and marketing for two Fortune 500 companies - DuPont Pharmaceuticals and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Her professional mission has been to increase quality of life for patients and has now been transformed to increasing quality of workforce for companies. Along with that comes increased quality of life and work for employees. Pamela knows firsthand that a happy, satisfied employee working in a job that fits makes for a productive, profitable company. Pamela held many positions including technical writer, sales representative, government affairs manager, managed care executive and national sales manager. She hired and built several sales teams to launch new products and served on many marketing teams to provide field-based intelligence. She has significant expertise in hiring top performers and developing success benchmarks to improve profitability. Pamela was responsible the hiring, training and coaching of several sales teams in Texas, California and Canada. Because of this she understands the need to fit the people to the job and that each job has its own success parameters that include geography, culture and managerial style. Using assessments and the expertise of EDGE Consulting Group in both the hiring and development phases can dramatically improve the quality of your workforce.

Pamela received her BA in English/Chemistry from Georgetown University in Washington DC. She also has an MBA from Southern Methodist University. Her education, breadth of experience and business skills gives her an excellent appreciation of the challenges companies face with their people-related challenges. Her focus on the bottom line insures that the solutions will be practical, tangible and profit-driven.
